The objects of the M.Sc. are the following:

  • The further scientific specialization of young scientists in the Area of Data Analytics and Machine Learning as well as in the field of Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, IT Governance and Digital Transformation.
  • The lifelong education and training of scientists who are already employed in companies and organizations of the public or private sector, the development of their research abilities so that they become capable of producing new knowledge in the area of Big Data Analytics, in the area of Advanced Information Systems and in the area of IT Governance.
  • The preparation for doctoral level studies in the academic subjects of the PMS.

The purpose of PMS:

The main purpose of PMS is the promotion of scientific knowledge and research for the development and management of digital systems and services in the Knowledge Society. In particular, the preparation of executives with knowledge and skills to analyze, design, implement and manage integrated information and computing systems based on new technologies. Thus PMS graduates specialize in areas of software design and development, development and management of data systems and analysis of large data sets and advanced topics of internet technologies and web application development. In addition, the PMS offers an in-depth study of the most modern techniques and methodologies in the area of Big Data Analytics using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms, delving into specialized fields of application, creating an Interdisciplinary environment between research topics and fields of application. PMS aims to provide its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to utilize existing techniques and develop new innovative techniques by advancing science and technology. At the same time, the cooperation and extroversion with domestic and foreign institutions, bodies and companies that specialize in the subjects of PMS is thus strengthened.

In this context, PMS graduates can staff services and organizations of the public and private sector of the economy, as well as research and education in matters related to the development, application and management of digital technologies, systems and services.
