In the P.M.S. graduates of higher educational institutions (university and technological education) of the country or corresponding equivalent institutions abroad are accepted. See in detail the requirements and supporting documents for applying to the Master’s Program.

The selection among the candidates is made with objective criteria and a personal interview by a committee of Professors.

The Master’s Program is divided into three specialisations:

1. Advanced Information Systems

The scientific field of this specialization covers a wide range of innovative approaches and technologies that respond to the modern challenges and needs of all individual sectors of the socio-economic ecosystem.

2. Big Data and Analytics

Students of this specialization are expected to acquire significant skills in managing and analyzing large-scale data to extract valuable knowledge.

3. IT Governance

It covers the pre-development, on-development and after-development stages of digital technology in the business/organization.

The duration of the Master’s Program is 18 months (1.5 years). It consists of two semesters of study and one semester of thesis preparation.

Classes take place at the premises of the University of Piraeus, usually Monday to Thursday from 18:00 to 21:00 (it is possible to have additional teaching, main, auxiliary or seminar depending on the needs of the Program).

The program is structured as follows:

1st SEMESTER (WINTER)

The First Semester starts in October and ends in January. It includes eight compulsory courses. Each course consists of 10 lectures or laboratory sessions. After the end of the semester, the examination period follows in February. There the students are examined for their knowledge either through exams or through the preparation of exculpatory assignments.

2nd SEMESTER (SPRING)

The Second Semester starts in March and ends in June. It includes eight compulsory courses. Each course consists of 10 lectures or laboratory sessions. After the end of the semester, the examination period follows in July. There the students are examined for their knowledge either through exams or through the preparation of exculpatory assignments.

3rd SEMESTER (WINTER)

The 3rd Semester starts in October. It includes the preparation of the diploma thesis, in collaboration with the professors of the department, which must be of a high scientific level and cover a wide range of knowledge acquired. The topics of theses are chosen by the Professors based on this consideration.
